NORTH CORPS COMMUNITY CARE KITCHEN: MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Did you know?
The Community Care Kitchen at our Salvation Army North Corps (2424 Pratt St.) is a very busy place.
The kitchen serves up tasty, nutritious meals twice each weekday to both adults and children in need. Kitchen teams provide lunch to adults between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and then they feed students in the North Corps after-school programs around 3 p.m.
With demand pushed higher in the wake of the pandemic and amid the ongoing inflation crisis, the Community Care Kitchen served more than 27,000 meals in 2022. That’s an average of more than 2,250 meals a month!
The Community Care Kitchen is just one of our many food-related programs that we provide to those in need—and food is just one of our eight main categories of service here in the Omaha metro. The generosity of donors from all around the metro area makes these programs and services possible. Thank you for your support!
