Ready for Some Spring Cleaning?
As the days get longer, the grass gets greener and the calendar tells us its spring, the season of decluttering is upon us. Cleaning out old or unused items after a long winter can leave us with a sense of renewal.
This year, The Salvation Army encourages you to turn your spring cleaning into “spring meaning.” Donate your clothes or other household items to your nearest Salvation Army Family Store or drop-off location.
Going through your closet and deciding what goes and what stays can be a tough choice. But remember that the items you choose to donate are going to help those struggling in your community.
When you donate goods to The Salvation Army, those items are then sold at our Family Stores. The proceeds are then used to fund our Basic Needs Assistance Programs in small communities and our Adult Rehabilitation Centers in larger metropolitan areas. Our Adult Rehabilitation Centers give help, hope and a second chance at life to individuals with substance use disorder.
