The Weekly Word - A Devotion for the Week of February 28
During ancient times, people often tore at their clothes and dusted themselves with ash as a symbol of their mourning and repentance. This week, as we begin the six-week Lenten season of repentance, may we go deeper than the surface, beyond the metaphorical rending of our garments. Let us crack open our hardened hearts. Let us invite God’s love into our deepest selves so that He can remake us and renew us from the inside out. Amen.
