Where Disaster Strikes, The Salvation Army is There
This past week, major weather has impacted suburban Illinois. Wind, rain, hail, and tornadoes have affected several counties, with some experiencing severely damaging storms. Fulton County, home to our 360 Life Center, has endured severe damage from tornadoes touching down in St. David and Bryant.
For these communities, their lives have been changed forever. The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Service (EDS) was created to help communities for situations such as these. In times of crisis, EDS helps fulfill emergency needs such as food, shelter, and clean water. In response to the extreme tornadoes, EDS has commuted to Fulton County and its surrounding areas to help first responders and survivors with necessary hydration and meals.
Our highly dedicated EDS staff and volunteers are on the ground to assist those in need after such a catastrophic event. When disaster strikes a community, The Salvation Army will be there to help.
Please consider donating to The Salvation Army to support our EDS efforts in Fulton County and beyond whenever disaster strikes.
