Introducing Warsaw Music Arts

Aug 30, 2024

The Salvation Army of Kosciusko County is starting a new venture to serve area youth through the Warsaw Music Arts (WMA) program, which kicks off later this month. The program will offer free music instruction and fun activities for children ages 9 to 17, providing families with a new way to engage their children in enriching activities without stretching their household budget.

An informational orientation meeting will be held at The Salvation Army, located at 501 E Arthur Street in Warsaw, on Tuesday, September 17 at 5:30 p.m. Families are invited to come and learn more about what the program will offer their children.

Limited spots are available, so those who are interested should fill out the WMA application form, which is available by clicking the button below. The deadline to apply is September 13.

The Salvation Army's rich musical heritage dates back to 1879, with brass bands and large choruses sharing the love of music with communities around the world. Warsaw Music Arts will feature brass, guitar, and vocal ensembles and aims to help children grow both musically and spiritually.

"We believe in nurturing the next generation, equipping them with musical skills and deepening their faith journey through the power of music," shared Emma Bowyer, WMA Coordinator for The Salvation Army. The WMA program is being made possible through the generous support of The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary (SAWA) of Kosciusko County.
