Smiles Make the Greatest Gifts Image

Smiles Make the Greatest Gifts

Doing for others at Christmastime brings true joy to Waukesha County residents, and provides fresh holiday events & traditions for involved families.

We distribute nearly 10,000 donated gifts to over 700 families annually, so they, too, may enjoy a blessed and happy christmas!

Through our annual Toy Shop, Angel Tree, Adopt-a-Family and other giving programs, the people of Waukesha County have generously proven, over-and-over,  their selfless love of, and caring for local families in need.

How we help brighten the holidays

The true spirit of Christmas lives in the hearts of donors to, and supporters of The Salvation Army of Waukesha County. Find a way to be part of the joy and happiness that the people of Waukesha County provide to so many in need.

2. Waukesha County Salvation Army - Toy Shop
Dedicated volunteers collect, sort, organize and display room after room of donated toys, bikes and clothing . . . all given away by appointment on two-days in mid-December to those families that have registered between early October and the Thanksgiving Eve deadline. For more information contact Major Deborah DeLaVergne at 262-547-7367 or email: deborah_delavergne@usc.salvationarmy.org

3. Waukesha County Salvation Army - Angel Tree
We typically help 20-30 local businesses host "Angel Trees" for the collection of gifts for children, and, we throw a spotlight on the program through a public "Angel Tree" inside JC Penney at Brookfield Square Mall. If interested, contact Amber Mussomelli at 262-547-7367 or email: amber_mussomelli@usc.salvationarmy.org

4. Waukesha County Salvation Army - Thanksgiving Holiday Meal
Caring volunteers typically fill available slots early to help prepare, serve or clean-up for our annual Thanksgiving meal. Financial gifts of any size are appreciated to help defray the cost of our traditional Turkey Dinner with all the fixin's, served at 1:00pm on the holiday. If Christmas happens to fall on the same day as our Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday "Community Meal" evenings, a  special Christmas holiday meal may instead be scheduled at an announced time.
