Heat Wave Relief to Come for Hundreds in Need

The Salvation Army of Omaha received a shipment of 794 fans Monday as part of the 2018 Westlake ACE Hardware Fan Drive. Customers in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area generously donated $10,422 to purchase 744 new box fans for those in need. Westlake ACE Hardware donated an additional 50 fans for a total donation of 794. 

Fans were delivered to the Westlake ACE Hardware at 8425 W. Center Road by Pay-LESS Office Products. 

The oppressive heat of recent weeks has nearly depleted The Salvation Army's fan supply. With summer in full swing for several more weeks, The Salvation Army's work of distributing fans continues through Sept. 7.
