The Weekly Word - A Devotion for the Week of April 4
We all have God-given gifts. Not a single one of us has been left out of God’s goodness and generosity. While some may be blessed with more obvious gifts than others – the virtuoso cellist, the skilled heart surgeon, the Olympic gold medalist – even what we might consider “ordinary” skills and abilities are in fact precious gifts from God. We are apt to forget that these gifts are generously given to us not for our benefit alone, but as a way for us to embody God’s love here on Earth. Rather than diminishing our unique gifts or taking them for granted, let us instead let our light shine so that others may see and know God’s goodness.
