The Weekly Word - A Devotion for the Week of August 22
According to Merriam-Webster, the word “wholehearted” means to be “completely and sincerely devoted, determined, or enthusiastic.” In other words, God desires our complete commitment and devotion. Not our occasional attention when it’s convenient or fits with our schedule. Not a cursory glance when we remember or have time. If we feel like God is missing in our lives or isn’t listening, maybe it’s simply because we aren’t giving God our wholehearted attention. When we do that, God promises, we will find Him.
