The Weekly Word - A Devotion for the Week of February 7
It seems most of us are still learning what King Solomon knew 3,000 years ago when he warned against chasing after the wind. We spend our energy, time and resources trying to accumulate wealth, trying to get ahead, trying to make a name for ourselves – all of which are meaningless pursuits in the big picture. Let us instead focus on what will truly nourish us today, tomorrow and for eternity: the Bread of Life. In turning fully to God with our hearts, minds and souls, we will find the sustenance we seek. Amen.
