Our Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Our Response

Here at the Omaha-based Salvation Army Western Division, our officers, staff, and volunteers continue to provide additional support to communities throughout our three-state region (Nebraska, South Dakota, and western Iowa) amid the pandemic.

This additional support has taken many forms—from special food pantries to drive-thru backpack distributions to expanded rent/utility-bill assistance and much more—over the last year. Through it all, we have been taking extra steps to ensure the safety of everyone we serve. We have maintained close contact with governmental officials and community partners to both stay astride of the latest developments in the fight against COVID-19 and to better respond to emerging community needs as they arise.

We will continue these accelerated community-support efforts as needed going forward.

If you’re in need of assistance, please contact your local Salvation Army office.

As always, we are here to serve everyone—no matter what the time, place, or season.
