Our Need

The Salvation Army in Wichita can only meet critical needs through the faithful financial support of individuals, businesses, foundations, and churches in the community.  Not everyone can serve on the front lines, but every financial partner plays a vital role in making our community a better place to live, work and raise our families.

As part of the universal Christian church, we ask for prayer for the people that we serve.  We also ask for prayer for the work of The Salvation Army throughout the year, particularly our staff and volunteers who touch lives on a daily basis as they work for God through The Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army needs volunteers to help all year long. Christmas volunteers are vital to the accomplishment of The Salvation Army Mission of Hope.  However, throughout the year volunteers provide valuable service in all of our programs. Please visit to be a bellringer at one of our Red Kettle locations, or to find out about many other volunteer opportunities.
