After a disaster, God or man-made, we all want to help but don't know how or where to put our skills to use. This hands-on course can assist everyone who is interested in learning how to provide emotional support and spiritual care to those affected by a disaster.

Enhance your skills in providing effective emotional and spirtual care to meet the needs of disaster responders, affected families and individuals who have been impacted by disaster.

- Articulate the role from one's own faith tradition and the elements of ESC in a varied disaster environment.
- Define the role and function you play within the disaster relief operation.
-Identify the physical, psychological, emotional, behavioral, interpersonal and spiritual impact of disasters.
-Provide care to disasters survivors, first responders and relief workers post trauma/disaster aftermath
-Assess one's own suitability to provide ESC within the trauma and disaster context.
-Identify a personal self-care plan for maintaining one's own emotional, physical and spiritual health during deployment.
