Grand Rapids Griffins Red Kettle Game 2021
Looking for a great way to support The Salvation Army of Kent County while enjoying a fun-filled night at Van Andel Arena with your family and friends? After the pandemic canceled our plans last year, The Salvation Army is thrilled to once again be partnering with the Grand Rapids Griffins minor league hockey team for the 6th annual Red Kettle Game on Friday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.
Here are a few things about the evening to look forward to:
- The hockey players wearing special-edition red jerseys for the game that will then be auctioned off afterwards. Proceeds from the auction will directly benefit our local year-round programs and services in Kent County;
- $2 concession specials from 6-8 p.m.;
- Our brass band playing pre-game Christmas tunes on the concourse and performing the national anthem on the ice;
- Our giant red kettle and emergency service vehicle parked in front of the arena and plenty of Salvation Army-themed elements throughout the game;
- Our divisional commander dropping the first puck.
