2021 Angel Tree Was a Success!
Thank you, West Michigan! Your generosity with the Angel Tree Toy Drive made the 2021 holiday season a cheery one for so many of our local families. Across our corps in Alma, Battle Creek, Benton Harbor, Grand Haven, Kent County, Holland, Kalamazoo, Muskegon and Sturgis, 64,340 gifts were distributed, and 13,378 children and teens woke up on Christmas morning with presents to open.
This is all because of the nearly 400 businesses or organizations that hosted an Angel Tree, the countless number of caring people that grabbed a tag and shopped in store or online, and the many volunteers that helped at our toy shops. Many of the youth we served would have gone without a gift this Christmas had it not been for your support.
The Salvation Army feels blessed to partner with WOOD TV8 for the Angel Tree Toy Drive and 2021 marked the 31st anniversary of our relationship. Since the start of the partnership in 1990, over half a million local children and their families have been helped during the holidays.
