The Salvation Army Responds to Flint Water Crisis

Feb 1, 2016

The Eastern Michigan Division Emergency Disaster Services has been asked by the City of Flint to feed and hydrate individuals that volunteer to assist with the Flint water crisis. The feeding program, which is scheduled through mid-April, will consist of a light breakfast and a full lunch.

The Salvation Army is partnering with local organization to provide food support and supplies for volunteers including Subway, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Little Caesar's Pizza, Catholic Charities Food Kitchen, Walmart Deli Department and others. The Army is also participating in the distribution of private and public donations of water (no additional water donations are sought at this time).
