EDS Receives a Heartfelt 'Thank You' from City of Wyoming Mayor

Aug 20, 2014

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services recently received a letter from Jack A. Poll, Mayor, City of Wyoming thanking them for their assistance and support during the July 6 tornado.

The full letter appears below:

Dear Mr. Warfield,

Personally and on behalf of the residents of Wyoming, the City Council and our City employees, I would like to thank you for the assistance The Salvation Army provided in the wake of the July 6 tornado which severely impacted the residents of our Ideal Park neighborhood.

Your aid was crucial in providing timely and critical relief to our residents. I am incredibly impressed by the dedication you showed to carry out your mission. We received many compliments on how you and your volunteers were instrumental for our citizens to return to what will be their new normal.

Please know that the City of Wyoming hold you, the volunteers, staff and board of The Salvation Army in the highest regard. Your help and support are more than what we ever could have asked for. You and your team went above and beyond the call of duty.

God bless,

Jack A. Poll
Mayor
City of Wyoming
