The Salvation Army Milwaukee County Recognizes Volunteers At A Recognition Celebration

Jul 29, 2020

MILWAUKEE -- Nearly 3,000 volunteers served on behalf of The Salvation Army in Milwaukee County in 2019. On Wednesday, July 29, we recognized 16 of those groups and individuals for helping us in "Doing The Most Good" in Milwaukee at a special award celebration. While practicing safe, social distancing, we were able to award our hard-working volunteers for all of their hard work last year. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we had to reschedule and scale down our celebration to follow CDC guidelines.

The biggest volunteer event is still Christmas Family Feast, which is the largest feeding program in the country on Christmas Day. Over 675 volunteers helped on Christmas day to serve 7,000 people.
