Fisk Johnson Match Day raises historic amount for The Salvation Army of Racine
Racine, WI – Weds, Dec. 18 – The Salvation Army of Racine’s Red Kettle campaign received over $53,000 in local donations on Saturday, Dec. 14 during “Fisk Johnson Match Day.” As a result, Fisk Johnson, Chairman and CEO of SC Johnson, and SC Johnson will each contribute more than $100,000 to the Salvation Army of Racine, making the one-day total donation over $267,000. This is the highest single-day total raised in Racine.
“We are deeply grateful to Fisk Johnson and SC Johnson for their generosity during this holiday season and all year round,” said Captain Eddie Williams, Corps Officer of the Salvation Army of Racine. “Without their support, and the support of the thousands of people who gave unselfishly during Fisk Johnson Match Day, we would not be able to continue our good work helping families throughout the community.”
“Fisk Johnson Match Day” was announced at a special event last week, with Fisk Johnson pledging a personal 2x match along with an additional 2x SC Johnson match on donations received on Saturday, Dec. 14. Johnson visited several of the Red Kettle locations on Saturday, which included dozens of SC Johnson people and their families ringing bells at locations across Racine County.
