Green Bay’s Second-Annual “ChalkFest” Chalk Art Festival to be Held August 17
North Shore Bank Presents ChalkFest 2019 at the Green Bay Kroc Center
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 14, 2019
ChalkFest, Green Bay’s only Chalk Art festival, will hold its second-annual event August 17 from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Green Bay Kroc Center. The day-long event features experienced and hobby chalk artists, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, live music and children’s activities including bounce houses and a Kid’s Chalk Zone.
Chalk artists will have several hours to complete their artwork, with attendees getting to watch the creative process. Judges will award prizes for first, second and third place, and attendees will get to vote to determine the People’s Choice winner.
Last year’s event drew over 1,000 attendees, and organizers expect this year’s family-friendly event to draw in even more chalk art admirers.
Kroc Center Events Coordinator, Kayla LaPlante, says community members have a fun experience to look forward to. “We put a lot of attention into creating events that are very family and community-oriented. With the Kroc Center being a great place for families, and also providing arts programming for kids, ChalkFest is a great opportunity for us to provide a family-friendly event that also promotes the arts in our community.”
This year’s ChalkFest event is presented by North Shore Bank. "We love being an active part of our community and are grateful to have this opportunity to give back as title sponsor of ChalkFest,” said Kerri Collins, Vice President and District Manager for North Shore Bank’s North Region. “We hope that our friends and neighbors are as excited as we are about the area’s newest family arts event. It not only encourages creativity and provides fun for the whole family, but it benefits The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay. We hope to see everyone at the Kroc Center for ChalkFest 2019.”
