Kwik Trip Day at the Kettles
Event Details:
Kwik Trip Day
Saturday, December 8th
10:00am-8:00pm
La Crosse County Kettle Sites

LA CROSSE – One of the largest employers in La Crosse is providing time and dollars to ultimately help people in need.

Kwik Trip is working with The Salvation Army of La Crosse County to hold a special ‘business day’ on Saturday, December 8th.  On that day, Kwik Trip will match a limited amount of donations made throughout La Crosse County as well as ring bells at various kettle sites.

“We are so blessed to have a business such as Kwik Trip in the La Crosse area,” said Major Jeff Richardson.  “They have continued to go above and beyond for a number of different organizations throughout the region and have taken part in countless efforts to improve lives in our communities.”

Kwik Trip has a long-standing history of supporting The Salvation Army in La Crosse through donations and price reductions on products.  Programs receiving the most support include the everyday Meal Program, Feed the Kids, and Christmas Food Baskets.

“Our Kwik trip coworker family is grateful for this opportunity to help support many people in our community,” said Steve Wrobel of Kwik Trip Public Relations. “Giving to others – especially during the Christmas season – is a reflection of hearts wanting to make a positive difference by serving others.”

The Red Kettle Campaign is The Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser throughout the year and accounts for approximately one-third of the annual budget.  Campaign contributions help fund various day-to-day services provided by The Salvation Army including the Emergency Shelter and Meal Program.  Red Kettle Campaign dollars are raised through bell ringing, non-bell ringing donations, and mail appeal.

Bell ringers are still needed throughout the rest of the Campaign. To sign-up, visit www.SAlacrosse.org or call The Salvation Army of La Crosse at 608-782-6126.
