The Kroc Center Announces 2018 Summer Events


Green Bay, Wis – The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center (Kroc Center), 1315 Lime Kiln Road, will host a number of low cost, family friendly events at their outdoor recreation space on the Northeast side of the community center. 


Family Fun Nights will move outside near the playground on Friday, June 15, Friday, July 20 and Friday, August 17 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Family Fun Night features a bounce house, inflatable obstacle course, access to the playground and admission to the Aquatics Center and Open Gym. Crafts or games are included in the admission price of $5 for adults and $3 for children. Members of the Kroc Center are welcome to attend at no additional cost. 


Twilight Movie Nights are returning on select Tuesdays. On June 5 the Kroc Center will be playing the Incredibles in anticipation of the theatrical release of The Incredibles 2.  On July 10 the popular Trolls movie will be shown and the movie for the August 28 event is yet to be determined. Refreshments will be available to purchase. The event is free for members and non-members, but a $3 donation is appreciated. Doors open at 7:30 pm, the movie will begin at 8:15 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for seating. 


The Kroc Center is launching a brand new event on select Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 pm. S’mores@Sunset will debut on June 28 and will feature a camp fire, s’more making supplies and live music from the Kroc Praise Team. S’mores@Sunset will also be held on July 26 and August 23. Artists for those dates will be released on the Kroc Center’s website and Facebook page. S’mores@Sunset is free to Kroc Members, public can attend the event by purchasing a day pass at the Membership Services Desk.
