The Salvation Army of Dane County Sees New Leadership
Welcoming Captains Andrew and Melissa Shiels and Lt. Kelly Summit

Madison, WI (July 16, 2018) – The Salvation Army of Dane County welcomes Captains Andrew and Melissa Shiels as the new Dane County Coordinator and Director of Special Services, respectively.

Facilitating The Salvation Army’s programs and services, Captain Andrew Shiels anticipates progressive moves for The Salvation Army of Dane County. Andrew and his wife, Melissa, come to us from Warren, MI, and have served with The Salvation Army in Latvia prior to that. In additional leadership changes, Lieutenant Kelly Summit has been assigned to Dane County as the Associate Corps Officer.

A meet and greet for The Salvation Army’s new leadership is planned for Advisory Board members, nonprofit leaders, partner organizations, community leaders, and the general public. Organizations the Army works closely alongside are encouraged to attend. The meet and greet will be held at the Community Center at 3030 Darbo Drive on July 19 from 11 AM to 1 PM. There is no need to RSVP for this event. Light snacks and beverages will be served.

For 128 years, The Salvation Army of Dane County has been providing human service programs to vulnerable populations and residents of Dane County in need.  Today, The Salvation Army offers over 25 programs to assist our neighbors in Dane County at both the shelter location on East Washington Avenue and the community center on Darbo Drive.
