The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay Announces 2017 Christmas Campaign Total
Major Bob Mueller Reveals Record-Setting Number
GREEN BAY - On Tuesday, February 6, The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay held a celebration and press conference at their Corps Community Center to announce their final 2017 Christmas Campaign Total.
Major Bob Mueller, Brown County Coordinator, publically revealed that the 2017 Christmas Campaign raised $ 1,241,008, which surpassed the $1.1 million goal set in November.
“This event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our blessings and thank the community for their support,” said Mueller. “This is the Christmas Campaign’s second record-setting year in a row, and we couldn’t have done it without the generosity of this community. We are beyond grateful for their time and contributions.”
Money raised during the Christmas Campaign only accounts for two-thirds of the annual operating budget. The Salvation Army continues to actively seek funding to support basic needs programs and services throughout the year.
