GREEN BAY - With hot summer temperatures upon us, The Salvation Army Green Bay Corps Community Center will operate as a cooling center today. The Green Bay Corps Community Center will open as a cooling center Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm throughout the summer on days when the temperature reaches 85 degrees or above.
"Extreme heat brings dangers to many in our community and offering a cool, safe place is one of the many ways we can serve those in need," said Major Matt O'Neil Area Coordinator of the Greater Green Bay Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army, part of the universal Christian church, fosters an environment that improves self-sufficiency, provides hope and offers programs and services for wellness in all areas of life. We serve all who come to us and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. For more information and to donate visit sagreenbay.org or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY.
