GREEN BAY - On Tuesday, November 13, The Salvation Army will kick off its annual major fundraiser, the 2018 Christmas Campaign at their warehouse space, which was graciously donated for the season by H.J. Martin and Son.

Captain Matt O’Neil, Brown County Coordinator, will publically announce the 2018 Christmas Campaign goal and invite Advisory Board Members Trevor Farrell, Senior V.P. of Sales with Schreiber Foods, and Judy Docter, EVP – Chief HR Officer with Associated Bank to make statements as well.

The program will include information on volunteer opportunities, Corporate Kettle Match Days and community impact of The Salvation Army’s basic needs programming.

“During the holiday season, we are blessed by the generosity of our community,” said O’Neil. “At The Salvation Army, our job is to make a difference for those in need. The programs supported by our campaign provide hope year-round for thousands in our community and we are asking our community to help us reach our 2018 campaign goal so we can continue to meet needs locally.”

Last year 4,999 children received over 42,000 gifts through Toy Shop distribution, 2,080 food baskets were distributed, 385 families were served by the Adopt-a-Family program, 449 games were donated through Angel Tree and 184 seniors were gifted through Silver Bells.

The Christmas campaign also supports year-round programming for the food pantry, noon feeding program, rental assistance, transitional housing, senior programs and more.

The success of the campaign relies upon thousands of volunteers who ring bells at our iconic Red Kettles.  More than 35 business locations throughout the community graciously open their doors and welcome our kettle set up.

To attend the event, please drive through the gate to the right of the building, follow signage for parking and enter in the designated back door.
