GREEN BAY -  The total from The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay’s 2018 Christmas Campaign is in, and they are pleased to announce that they have reached their 2018 Christmas Campaign goal of $1.25 Million.

“It was truly an entire community working together that helped us surpass our goal,” said Captain Matt O’Neil, Brown County Coordinator. “We’re so thankful for the business partners, community leaders and residents of Green Bay and surrounding communities for their gracious contributions during this Christmas season.”

Money collected during the 2018 Christmas Campaign will be used to provide basic needs programming and services throughout 2019. “These funds directly support services that provide hope and healing to thousands right here in Greater Green Bay,” said O’Neil. “Thanks to the community, The Salvation Army will be able to provide multiple families, children and seniors with food, shelter, and other basic necessities in the New Year.”

The Salvation Army's local impact is felt throughout the year by bettering the lives of more than 12,000 people in need in the Greater Green Bay community. In their last fiscal year the organization distributed 9,822 bags of groceries, served over 33,000 meals, and helped 32 families move towards self-sufficiency.
