The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay Seeks Space to Host Christmas Distribution
For immediate release June 20, 2019
GREEN BAY - The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay is asking the community for assistance in securing a space to distribute toys and food for their 2019 Christmas Assistance Program. Annually, The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay partners with the Marines’ Toys for Tots program and the Friends of the Brown County Library’s Give A Kid A Book Campaign to put on a Christmas Distribution Event for those in need. The recent demolition of Shopko Hall has created urgency for the event to find a new location.
The requirements for space needed are 20,000 – 40,000 square feet, with loading dock access, heat, electricity, bathrooms, and parking. The space would need to be available during the week of December 16.
“The Salvation Army Christmas distribution is a major part of what we do locally to ensure that members of our community receive assistance when they need it,” said Major Matt O’Neil. “We are looking for a community partner that is interested in helping us with the space needed to execute distribution so we can provide a brighter Christmas for those in need.”
If you have space to offer, please contact Salvation Army Property Director, Steve Jandt, at (920) 593-2373.
