2018 Red Kettle Campaign List of Events


LA CROSSE – The Salvation Army of La Crosse County is partnering with various businesses, organizations, and groups to put on special events throughout the 2018 Red Kettle Campaign.


The list, as follows, includes big group events and special matching opportunities:

11/16: Western Technical College Day
Western Technical College students take over bell ringing throughout La Crosse County.

11/17: Viterbo University Day
Viterbo University students take over bell ringing throughout La Crosse County.

12/1: University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Day
UW-L students take over bell ringing throughout La Crosse County.

12/4: Match Day at Valley View Mall Kettles
Up to $10,000 will be matched at Valley View Mall kettles as Riverfest Commodores and First Mates ring.

12/8: Kwik Trip Day
Kwik Trip employees will be ringing at various sites throughout La Crosse County.  Kwik Trip will also be matching a limited amount at all kettles throughout La Crosse County.

12/12: Break the Bank
Various banks and credit unions ring bells and pledge dollars to challenge the community.

12/15: Collective Match Day
Various businesses and organizations match specific kettle sites throughout La Crosse County.

12/22: Mayo Clinic Health System Day
Mayo Clinic Health System will match up to $15,000 at kettle sites throughout La Crosse County.  Mayo’s contribution will benefit The Salvation Army’s psychiatric services.

12/24: Match Day on last day of bell ringing
Up to $17,000 will be matched at all kettle sites throughout La Crosse County to end the 2018 bell ringing season.


The bell ringing portion of the Campaign runs Monday through Saturday through December 24th.  Shifts are from 10am-8pm at various sites throughout La Crosse County.  The Campaign accepts donations as a whole from November 1st through January 31st of 2019. Donors and volunteers wanting to ring bells can find more information by visiting www.SAlacrosse.org.


Red Kettle Campaign donations account for approximately one-third of The Salvation Army of La Crosse’s annual budget. Funds support all programs including the Emergency Shelter, Meal Program, Feed the Kids, and Angel Giving Tree.
