The Salvation Army Responds To Severe Flooding in Upper Michigan

WAUWATOSA, WISCONSIN – On the evening of Monday, August 20th, 2018 the western side of Dane County, Wisconsin experienced significant rainfall totals, resulting in flash flooding and ongoing flooding. Water rescues occurred in Mazomanie, Wisconsin. Multiple water rescue teams are working to get people stranded in homes and other buildings into shelter.

Temporary shelters are located at 410 Cramer Street, Mazomanie, Wisconsin (Saint Barnabas Church) and 711 West Hudson Street, Mazomanie, WI (Mazomanie Fire Station).  Animal shelter 314 Ann Street, Mazomanie, Wisconsin (no additional resources needed at this time)

The Salvation Army assisted in Madison and Middeton providing meals and hydration after heavy rainfalls caused flooding and severe road damage.
