Small Wonders Learning Center Achieves 4-Star Rating

SHEBOYGAN, WI (June 4, 2019) – The Small Wonders Learning Center operated by The Salvation Army Sheboygan increased their YoungStar rating to a 4-star level through elevated levels of quality in care. The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families established the YoungStar program in 2011 to evaluate child care centers on a scale of one to five.  In order to achieve a 4-star level the Learning Center was measured across multiple quality standards and criteria for staff education, learning environment and curriculum, professional, health and well-being practices.

The Learning Center staff are committed to providing a secure, caring and enriched environment that promotes learning and development of the whole child. “I feel confident dropping my son off, knowing they sincerely care about his emotional and developmental well-being,” said parent Jessalynn Centifanto. Families looking for help finding child care can visit the Wisconsin Child Care Finder website at  www.childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov to search thousands of YoungStar rated programs by location, star rating, and type of care.
