Emergency Assistance

We are now accepting applications for emergency assistance. Funding is limited and restrictions apply.

You don't have to face crisis alone

The Salvation Army's Emergency Assistance programs exist to help individuals and families who have been affected by a crisis which has left them unable to meet basic financial needs.

The Salvation Army provides case management for those who have found themselves left financially strained because of a crisis.  In some cases, this involves emergency financial assistance to prevent homelessness and to keep basic utilities operational.

Emergency assistance is provided for:

  • Rent and mortgage
  • Home utilities (water, electric, gas)
  • Prescriptions
  • Transportation
  • Temporary lodging

Participants can complete an online application to apply for case management and assistance.  Every application is carefully reviewed and participants are invited to come in for a one-on-one session to talk about the crisis they are facing and what community resources may be available for them.  In some cases, The Salvation Army will be able to help with financial assistance.

Eligibility Guidelines

  • Assistance is available for Grant County residents.
  • A completed assistance application and one-on-one meeting is required for any emergency assistance.
