Who We Are
Established in 1898, The Salvation Army of North Iowa is a family-friendly Christian church and social services organization. Our focus is to actively worship God while helping people in need. We provide a wide range of programs and fellowship opportunities for the people of north central Iowa, including our Adult Day Health Center.
Our Local Leadership
Majors Geffory and Leticia Crowell
Corps Officers
Majors Geffory and Leticia Crowell were ordained in The Salvation Army Church in 2003. They have served in Indianapolis, IN, Saint Paul, MN and most recently were the lead pastors in Fort Wayne, IN. They are both originally from Wisconsin and are die hard fans of The Green Bay Packers and the World Champion Milwaukee Bucks.
Both Geffory and Leticia earned their BS in Practical Ministries from Olivet Nazarene University. Leticia graduated in 2011 and Geffory in 2012. Geffory graduated in 2015 with a master’s degree in Spiritual Formation and Leadership. Geffory was also a cohort of class 242 at The Salvation Army International College for Officers in London England in 2019.
Both Geffory and Leticia enjoy kayaking and camping as well as walking their Jack Russell terrier, Lily, however their very favorite thing to do is to spend time with their grandchildren Vanessa and Peter.
