There are roughly 800 homeless youth, age 18 to 21, in the state of Minnesota on any given night. Approximately 480 are in the Twin Cities Metro alone.*The outreach of emergency housing is essential to stabilizing this young and under-served population.
The Booth Brown House opened an emergency youth shelter in the summer of 2012. Our emergency youth shelter can house 16 homeless youth, ages 18-21, on any given night. Youth in need of shelter should call the Ramsey County joint shelter line at 651-444-5757 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily to find out about bed availability. Youth can also find resources on the Youth Services Network website.
