Every person deserves a bed to sleep in at night.
Each year, The Salvation Army provides over 10 million nights of shelter to those in need.
Homeless Assistance & Prevention - We make it our mission to meet the person behind the issue and treat the causes of homelessness and give sustainable change. This is made possible through our different approaches to treating root causes. From emergency housing & shelter to bill assistance or on the way to reliable housing, The Salvation Army meets our homeless community in every way
Rapid Rehousing Program- A housing first approach where we work with landlords through the Quad Cities to move homeless families into stable housing. Our dedicated on-site caseworkers equip clients to embrace responsibility, meet goals, and gain self-sufficiency. In fact, even after residents secure permanent housing, we continue to help them maintain stability via emergency food and utility assistance
Shelter Program- Our shelter program provides up to 30 days of shelter to families who are homeless. We offer financial assistance to cover emergency overnight housing costs or refer those facing housing and food insecurity to partner programs with emergency shelter services
In providing its programs and services to the homeless community, The Salvation Army is committed to accommodating all those in need without unlawful discrimination or harassment based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, disability, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or any other characteristic in accordance with our capacity to help.
The Salvation Army Family Services is here for those facing a housing crisis. The goal of our program is to prevent homelessness, by providing assistance to those families facing eviction by providing one time relief to help with rent, utilities or deposits. In addition, we provide temporary shelter for those families who are homeless. Please call our office at (563) 324-4808 to get answers to your questions.
