Every day The Salvation Army fights hunger by providing food to neighbors in need.

CHOICE FOOD PANTRY

We believe all should have the opportunity to better themselves.  By providing them with food, we are able to better help so they can keep up with their personal expenses.

Helping Families & Individuals With Food & Hygiene Items

We often see families who are working but just don't have enough to make ends meet. With the help that you give, we are able to supply them with food so they can pay the utilities, etc. This is a much needed help. We are often told how without this, they do not know how they would make ends meet. We assist over 250 families each month in our Choice Pantry. Through your support by bringing us food or giving us monetary donations we are able to continue helping those in need.

How we help cure hunger

This program is for residents of Kosciusko county who fall within the poverty guidelines. Pantry visitors may come once a month. All that is needed is a photo ID.  This is a "choice" food pantry where families get to pick the items they need and are allotted 12-15 items depending on family size.

Choice Food Pantry
Our food pantry is available Monday thru Friday from 9 am - 11:30 am. Availability of food items vary, but we often have meat, cereal, and canned goods.

If you would like to donate new and unexpired food items for our pantry, you may bring it in during normal our normal office hours. Our pantry stays stocked because of kind and generous people in our community who donate and host food drives for us!

If you would like to volunteer to help in the pantry (duties include assisting pantry guests, counting/bagging items, stocking, etc.) please email Melissa Cunningham: melissa.cunningham@usc.salvationarmy.org .
