2024 Red Kettle Kick-Off
2023 Red Kettle Kickoff
Let the Bells Begin! On November 1st, 2024, The Salvation Army of Benton Harbor Kicked off their Red Kettle Campaign. We are grateful for those who came and shared a moment of helping the communities of West Berrien and Van Buren Counties. Our goal this year to continue assisting our friends in West Berrien and Van Buren Counties is $162,000.
Highlights included:
-Free cocoa, coffee, and donuts.
-Exposure of why The Salvation Army rings bells in the community.
The Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign is the organization's most important fundraising effort of the year. Funds raised help sustain programs that operate year-round including:
-An emergency food pantry that has seen an increase in households seeking assistance during the past year.
-An emergency men's shelter that holds up to 38 men a night and feeds dinner and breakfast (The only single men's shelter in Southwest Michigan).
-Housing and Utility assistance (including propane).
-Youth programs that teach children music.
-Rental Assistance.
Anyone interested in ringing bells can go to resistertoring.com or call us at 269-927-1353 and ask for Vickie Middleton to be put on the ringing schedule. We ring bells in Bridgman, Paw Paw, South Haven, Benton Harbor, Saint Joseph, Coloma, and Stevensville.
