A Tosi's Christmas

There was a beautiful spirit in Stevensville, Michigan, as children and adults gathered together over a meal to see Santa. Christmas décor and lights set the stage for a sensational experience. Tosi's Restaurant in Stevensville and The Salvation Army of Benton Harbor celebrated 67 years of coming together for a Christmas tradition for the youth of West Berrien and Van Buren Counties. Tosi’s hosted about two hundred children and their families to provide a cheerful Christmas by offering lunch, dessert, Santa Claus, and Christmas music. The Salvation Army, with the help of the community and their church congregation, provided Christmas gifts and books to the children, ranging in age from infants to older teens.
The children came dressed in their Christmas best and expressed their excitement by chanting for Santa, lauding over the pasta, showing and sharing the artwork from their coloring pages, laughing among friends, and joining in the singing of Christmas carols. Thread of Hope Community Choir sang Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Silent Night.
Santa Claus made his grand entrance and had assistance from Benton Harbor's royalty, Mr. and Miss Benton Harbor.
The Salvation Army of Benton Harbor thanks Benton Harbor Charter School Academy, Readiness Center, Sisters From Another Mother, Pastor Jay Haynes, and all the parents and guardians for bringing their children to Tosi's. We are extremely grateful to Tosi's owners, Dan & Lori McCrey, and their family, staff, and volunteers for making this experience magical for the children and their families.
