Learn more about our Personal Needs Pantry
The Salvation Army Capital Area strives to meet the needs of all of those in the Greater Lansing Area experiencing hardship. One of the ways we do that is through our Personal Needs Pantry located inside The Salvation Army Lansing Citadel building at 525 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. The Personal Needs Pantry is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, and again from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. There is no need to make an appointment!
“The Salvation Army is ready to help struggling families with limited resources with necessary personal care and household items,” says Major Pat Irvine, Lansing Citadel Corps Officer. Adults and families can pick up everyday items like soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, cleaning supplies, diapers and wipes, and more from the Personal Needs Pantry.
With many struggling through the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Salvation Army Capital Area does not require income verification to receive items; the pantry is open to all residents in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties.
“If your family is struggling and could use help, please reach out to us. Call us today,” states Major Irvine.
If you are looking to help those who find themselves in need in your community, donations can be made in the form of financial support or in-kind donations of items. We try to stock the pantry with name brand personal need and household cleaning items for adults, children, and families. For more information, please call 517.484.4424.
