New facility paves way for hope and dignity in S.E. Berrien and Cass Counties
"A new facility allows us to build a pathway of hope and dignity for our neighbors in S.E. Berrien and Cass Counties," said Major Nic Montgomery.
Reflecting on the journey, Montgomery expressed deep gratitude to those who made it possible. "It’s been a long road for our donors, and we could not have done it without you all."
This new community center will serve as a beacon of support, featuring a commercial kitchen for the hot lunch program, a welcoming dining space for shared meals and fellowship, and flexible rooms designed for education, training, and community events.
A key addition is a client-choice food pantry, empowering families to select items that best meet their needs. The facility will also include a community vegetable garden, warehouse storage for large donations, administrative and social services offices, and a chapel for prayer and reflection.
With these resources in place, the center will become more than just a building—it will be a place of transformation, where dignity is restored, and hope flourishes for those in need.
