"Hungry" is no way to spend childhood

Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.

Here in Indiana, one out of six children face food insecurity.

The Salvation Army works to ensure that every member of our community has the food they need to thrive. If you face hunger, we want you to know that you are not alone.

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is available to anyone in our Porter County community who needs to supplement their groceries. Residents can get Food Pantry on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 - 3:00. We also distribute bread & pizza daily (subject to availability) during regular business hours, 9 AM - 4 PM. Donors include Strack & Van Til, Panera Bread, and KFC.
