"Hungry" is no way to spend childhood

Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.

Here in Michigan, one out of six children face food insecurity.

The Salvation Army works to ensure that every member of our community has the food they need to thrive.

If you face hunger, we want you to know that you are not alone.

How we help cure hunger

Sal's Soup Kitchen

The Salvation Army provides a hot meal Monday through Thursday from 11:30 am to 12:30 p.m. at our Sturgis Community Center, 105 N. Fourth Street.

Faith Lutheran Church provides a hot lunch on the last Sunday of each month at The Salvation Army Community Center at 12:00 p.m.

All are welcome, no appointment or eligibility process or documents necessary.  Anyone who needs help supplementing their food budget may come and eat.  The only thing needed is to sign in when you get here.

Food Pantry

The pantry program is a tool where food donated from the community and purchased by The Salvation Army helps families and individuals through financial difficulty and food insecurity.  The pantry can also serve as an entry point for those whom need more in depth case management.  The pantry allows us to work with residents and help them create a budget of their own.

No-Contact FOOD PANTRY HOURS

Monday and Wednesday by appointment only during COVID-19

Please be sure to have appropriate transportation available.  If you have questions about the food pantry or need to setup an appointment please contact us.at 269-651-4275.
