The Salvation Army Traverse City Red Kettle Matching Mondays are Back
Donations to the Red Kettle Campaign December 9, 16, and 23 will be
Matched by a $30,000 Challenge Gift

UPDATE: Total raised to through Dec. 16 $19,471.43

December 8, 2019 Traverse City, MI: The Salvation Army Traverse City is excited to announce a matching gift challenge to the Red Kettle campaign. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor Red Kettle campaign donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $30,000 during Matching Mondays - December 9, 16 and December 23, 2019.

Major Jeff Russell explained, “Every penny, nickel, dime, quarter and dollar bill put in a Salvation Army Red Kettle provides meaningful gifts: the gift of a warm meal, a toy, a safe warm home and the priceless gift of hope for someone in our community who is struggling. Through this generous matching gift, every single donor’s generosity is doubled - because there is no minimum or maximum donation amount.

All proceeds from our The Red Kettle campaign stay in our community – when donors give locally they are helping real people in our community. When people give change at a Red Kettle they make change happen through local Salvation Army programs. Programs include: food pantry, community meals, utility assistance, camp and programs for children and youth, emergency assistance, Christmas programs and more.

We are once again humbled by this matching gift. Our Red Kettle campaign goal this year is $175,000. We need the communities’ support once again to maximize this gift and maximize programs and services in the community through financial donations and just as importantly through the gift of time to bell ring. Together, we can Do The Most Good for the Most People in the Most Need in our community through the Christmas Season and throughout 2020.”

How easy is it to help The Salvation Army meet the $30,000 matching challenge and double your donation during Matching Monday’s now through December 23.
