HOLIDAY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
November 10 - December 24: Bell Ring during the Red Kettle Season and raise funds for local programs. All funds raised locally stay local to help our neighbors in their time of need. Click here for more information regarding Red Kettle Bell Ringing. Signing up to Bell Ring just got easier with the NEW online sign-up at Register to Ring.com. Check it out - select your favorite location, dates, times, set up an account (you only have to ever do this once) make your selections and you are ready to ring! You will also get text reminder of your location and shift! You can also call Mary at (231) 946-4644 to register.
Wednesday, November 14 - 2-4 pm: Assist with packing and organization of Thanksgiving Dinner Food Baskets for distribution to area families.
Thursday, November 15 - 11-5:30pm: Welcome families and distribute Thanksgiving Dinner Food baskets to families that have previously signed up.
Wednesday, November 21 - between 9am - 3:30: Assist with food prep, food service and cleanup during the Thanksgiving Dinner Community Meal (Meal served between 11:30 - 1:30pm).
Friday, December 7 - between 10am - 6pm: Assist with the set up of the Christmas Assistance Toy Shop. Organize toys, clothing and other gifts.
Monday, December 10 - between 10am - 7pm: Assist with the set up of the Christmas Assistance Distribution Toy Shop. Organize toys, clothing, gifts, stocking stuffers and food boxes.
Wednesday, December 12 - between 8am - 6pm: Assist with distribution food, toys and gifts to families as well as assisting with bagging and packing gifts in family vehicles. Sort straighten and keep Toy Shop organized.
Thursday, December 13 - between 8am - 3pm: Assist with final distribution of food, toys and gifts to families, sorting and organizing. After noon assist with tear down and clean up of facility.
Friday, December 21 - between 9am - 3:30: Assist with food prep, food service and cleanup during the Christmas Dinner Community Meal (Meal served between 11:30 - 1:30pm).

Join our Advisory Board: Our advisory board members are local civic, philanthropic business community leaders who are passionate about giving back to their community. They engage, empower and evaluate local programs and services. Advisory board members help us achieve our mission, purpose and objectives through their contribution of work, wealth and wisdom. Community Meals program: The lunch time community meal program runs Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Select a day that works for you and help provide a meal, friendship and fellowship. Food prep 9 AM - noon or dishwasher/cleanup 11 AM - 2 PM. Select days and times that best fit your schedule.
Food Pantry Volunteer: Do you believe that every member of our community should have the food they need to thrive - our food panty is here to provide food, nutrition and health! Volunteers are needed to greet and guide food pantry guests with food selections and stocking of the food pantry. Donate your time Mondays and Fridays from 9am – noon and/or 1 – 4pm during food pantry distribution days or assist with stocking and organizing the food pantry on Wednesday’s between 1 – 4pm. Select days and times that best fits your schedule and join us in feeding hungry hearts and souls.
Community Food Shelf: Assist with unloading and preparing Food Rescue delivery of fresh perishable foods for distribution. Deliveries are generally Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10 AM - 1 PM. Select days and times that best fit your schedule.
Thrift Store Volunteer: Mondays - Saturday between 9 AM - 6 PM. Assist in sorting donations, stocking thrift store, cleaning etc.
Even the smallest tasks, like helping with office work or ringing bells at Christmas, support our mission and, in the end, help change lives in our community for the better. We couldn't do it without you! Thank you for helping us make our community a place of hope.
