"Hungry" is no way to spend childhood

Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.

How we help cure hunger

FOOD PANTRY AND FRESH FOOD INITIATIVE:  Our food pantry provides emergency food and personal care items to families and individuals in Lenawee County. Along with non-perishable items, there are meat, bakery and produce items available. Our food pantry is open Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 11:30am. The food pantry is available by appointment. Please call 517-265-2038 to make a food pantry appointment. Our Fresh Food Initiative is a program held each Tuesday that provides fresh fruits and vegetables.

SEASONAL FOOD DISTRIBUTION:  In addition to our year-round food assistance, we offer Holiday Food Vouchers that are provided to families and individuals in need during the Christmas season. We assist an average of 250 households each holiday season through this program.
