Knowledge is a ticket out of poverty

we empower youth Through:

Character Building
We offer weekly scouting programs for our children called Sunbeams, Explorers, Girl Guards, and Rangers.  These programs are for young people in our community in 1st through 12th grades. Kids have the opportunity to earn badges, learn new skills, and have lots of fun. Our Character Building Programs meet every Wednesday night. Call 989-358-2769 for more information.

Summer Camp
During the summer, we run a State-licensed Summer Day Camp for kids.  We accept our campers through referral from partner agencies such as Community Mental Health, School Success Workers, and DHHS.  We provide developmental opportunities as well as alternative ways to respond to life situations for children who struggle with anger management, overall behavior, and social interactions.

Coats for Kids
In the fall, we distribute outerwear such as coats, hats, scarves, and gloves to make sure everyone is able to stay warm in our harsh winter climate.

Brightening the Holidays
We provide a Christmas food box to make sure every family will have access to a traditional Christmas meal, and we have a “Toy Shop” where parents have the opportunity to choose toys for their children to find under the tree Christmas morning.
