The Salvation Army Youth Programs build spirit, character, mind, and body.

"Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 41:31 NASB

Future After School Program

"Parents and children are still from the suffering effects of the pandemic. We're seeing many kids who are at risk of never catching up emotionally and socially. The Salvation Army is here to show these families that they are loved and help them as they strive to learn in today's world." Major Kathy Wolfe

How we help empower youth

At The Anderson Corp Community Center, we focus on 3 key programs to empower the youth in our community:  Christian Education, (Future After School Program), VBS, and Summer Camps. Please call our office at 765-644-2538 if you have any questions concerning any of the programs and ask for Major Kathy Wolfe.

Christian Education

On Sunday we traditionally take the time to worship God. We also have a time to explore the Bible and enjoy showing children what God has to say to them about love and life and applying to their lives.  We think they'll really enjoy the adventure through our ORANGE curriculum using a combination of media, games, worship and scripture to teach religious concepts.

This month's theme is: "Responsibility: Showing you can be trusted with what's expected of you. "

Scripture: "Suppose you can be trusted with something very little. Then you can also be trusted with something very large." Luke 16:10a NIrV

After School Program (Stay Tuned)

Running Monday-Friday throughout the school year, this program this program will feature STEM focused activities, nutritious meals, help with homework or supplements to help children catch up or get ahead in the classroom, and physical activity. Our recent renovations included the gymnasium with a grant from the NBA All Stars.  Stay tuned for updated as we continue to accept funding and work on getting a coordinator and solid volunteers for this program.

Vacation Bible School

Who needs just a few more days of fun, snacks and let's throw in as little Bible adventure to juice it up before the kids get grinding back to the iPads of learning again. Last year we had a blast with "Food Truck Party." Stay Tuned for this year's theme to be tentatively Wednesday, July 24th through Sunday, July 28th, 2024, at The Salvation Army Corps. 1615 Meridian St., Anderson.
