How we help empower youth

The Salvation Army provides programs for young people that give them a higher level of resources than they find in their homes and neighborhoods. Programs help build character and encourage them to be they best they can be.  By providing a wide array of programs for youth, The Salvation Army is striving to help children see the positive of life and help them set and achieve goals to reach their potential. 

Youth Nights

Join us Thursday Nights September -October and January -May for Music and Character Building classes. Music and Character Building classes are open to youth in Pre-K (4 years and older) - 12^th grade. Thursday nights begin at 5pm with dinner and end at 7:00, including music education and character building classes. Registration required.

Summer Camp

Tween Leadership Camp (Ages 10-14)  
June 16th-19th 

Tween Leadership Camp provides youth with a unique opportunity to discover their leadership potential and cultivate essential qualities such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and empathy through team sports and STEAM activities. Surrounded by like-minded peers and leaders, campers are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones, take on new challenges, and embrace their roles as leaders of tomorrow. This camp is sure to spark an interest that campers can share and demonstrate when they return home. (STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics).

NCI Music/Creative Arts Camp (Ages 9-17)   
June 21st-28th 

Immersed in a vibrant atmosphere buzzing with creativity and passion, our Music and Creative Arts Camp becomes a haven for aspiring artists to explore, express, and flourish. Guided by accomplished instructors, campers delve into a diverse array of disciplines, from mastering musical instruments to honing vocal talents. Through collaborative worship and performances, participants refine their craft and cultivate a deep appreciation for artistic expression and the boundless possibilities it offers for personal growth and self-discovery. 

Kids Camp (Ages 7-12)   
June 30th-July 3rd 

Kids Camp offers an immersive experience where young adventurers embark on a journey through God’s creation and His Word. With a variety of activities ranging from adventurous hikes in the woods to spirited campfire games, every moment is infused with excitement and wonder. Safety is our top priority, and our dedicated camp staff ensures the well-being of each child as they explore, learn, and create lifelong memories. 

Family Camp (All Ages, Children Must Attend with an Adult)  
July 5th-8th  

If you're looking for a summer camp experience that brings families closer together, fosters lifelong memories, and celebrates the beauty of togetherness, join us at Family Camp. Discover the joy of adventure, exploration, and connection in the great outdoors while creating lasting bonds that will strengthen your family for years to come. 

Throughout the week, families will participate in a variety of exciting adventures and activities tailored to all ages and interests. From thrilling outdoor excursions like hiking, swimming, and fishing to creative workshops and arts and crafts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our counselors and activity leaders are on hand to guide and support families every step of the way, ensuring that each experience is both safe and memorable. 

Discipleship Camp (Ages 7-17)  
July 10th-13th 

Discipleship Camp offers age-appropriate tracks to support and encourage the spiritual growth of young people. Here, young hearts are ignited with a passion for Christ and equipped to become bold and compassionate disciples in today’s world. Through fun and engaging activities and small groups, the camp helps participants develop a vibrant and authentic faith that shapes every aspect of their lives. Ultimately, it aims to inspire campers to make a positive impact on the world around them. 

Teen Camp (Ages 13-17)    
July 15th-18th 

Teen Camp is the ultimate summer experience where faith, fun, and fellowship come together! This vibrant and enriching environment allows teens to escape the routines of everyday life and immerse themselves in a world of adventure, friendship, and learning. 

Our diverse range of activities caters to various interests and passions, from thrilling outdoor adventures like hiking, rock climbing, and zip-lining to creative pursuits such as arts and crafts. With guidance and support from our camp leaders, teens engage in meaningful discussions, form deep connections, and challenge themselves in a positive and encouraging environment. Teen Camp is designed to equip participants with the confidence, compassion, and leadership skills needed to thrive when they return to their daily lives.
