Along with providing immediate refuge and relief, we take a holistic approach to healing; helping clients move from surviving to thriving.
This form of modern-day enslavement exists all over the U.S. but Cook County (Illinois) law enforcement arrests more sex traffickers than anywhere else in the country.
The Salvation Army's social justice programs give men and women re-entering society's mainstream the skills to be successful.
STOP-IT Anti-Trafficking Program
STOP-IT provides holistic services to people who are being trafficked (labor, sexual exploitation or domestic servitude). Through the STOP-IT program, The Salvation Army partners with Cook County State's Attorney and other social service agencies to help survivors leave trafficking situations and rebuild their lives.
Pathway Forward
The Salvation Army assists incarcerated men and women transitioning from prison to the community with the Pathway Forward program. Clients undergo counseling, access training programs, and learn to reconnect with their families and communities.
