Food Pantry is open Thursday morning from 10:00 AM to 12 noon and on Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays afternoons from 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM by appointment– volunteers help pickup donated goods from Walmart, coordinate with other volunteers to receive, take the temperature of each type of item (meat, grocery items, bakery), weigh each box and record them on the proper reports, sort through the items and place them on shelves. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM, volunteers are needed to help families “shop” for their groceries (families will make an appointment through the social service office). Volunteers will retrieve the list from the case manager, greet, and assist families through the Food Pantry following the guidelines provided to them.
Bread distribution when available on Tuesday and Friday starting at 1:05 PM till 3:00 PM - volunteers help distribute bread and other items as received.
Thrift Store is open Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Saturday 9 AM - 5 PM. We need volunteers to help sort, price, merchandise, assist with pick-ups (heavy lifting), assist with baler (heavy lifting), and overall maintenance at the thrift store. If possible, we encourage volunteers to take ownership of each department (Jewelry, Bedding, Knick-Knacks, Clothing, Books, Merchandising, etc.).
“Come as you are and worship with us.”
